President's Message

Hello and welcome to Heartland Credit Union’s website.  My name is Ed Gvazdinskas and I am the president of Heartland Credit Union and a lifelong resident of Springfield, Illinois.  Heartland Credit Union was founded in February 1946 and has grown into one of the most respected and financially sound financial institutions in Central Illinois.  Being a not for profit financial cooperative for more than 63 years has allowed Heartland to focus on giving more back to its member-owners.  Our credit union is not profit driven, but member-owner driven.  Our mission is “To Improve Members’ Lives”.  Every employee and every volunteer board member of the credit union is committed to focusing their every attention to this mission.  This member driven culture is what truly distinguishes Heartland from every other financial institution in our market place.  We truly care about the financial stake of each and every one of the credit union’s member-owners.

We think you will find Heartland’s website extremely user friendly.  We have taken considerable time and research to making our website as easy to navigate and extract information as possible.  Because of this we are hopeful that you and all of our member-owners will become frequent users.
